Seeking a day or eve or weekend person

Gain Great Experience - key is positive redirection, re-enforcement, thinking on your feed, having fun and engaged in activities! Autism Experience is NOT required! (Full or Part time or Sub available) What: Being a buddy to a 27-year-old autistic male (autism, cognitive delays, apraxia, OCD, ADD), who has communication difficulties due to his autism and apraxia. Cares for him are really based on positive reinforcement, communication. Helping with sensory needs (going places to jump, run, get tickled, water activities, etc), teaching what is around him. We do train, 2 staff with him too as he is active, and we work on communication/teaching around him day to day! Who: Biggest part of this is the experience of being around 2-4-year-olds in communication, actions, etc. As that is his cognitive ability for communication, etc. That is the key experience along with: Thinking on your feet, patience, drive to help, planner and problem solver! Autism experience is not required. It's the 2-4 experience is the key!! We do train! Shifts: Various shifts open, and can be very flexible with your school schedule, etc. Days, or evenings or weekends you can do are open so you can pick some etc. 2 staff are with him always and as a person trains they are 3rd person. Its really what you can do!! I have a few days, or evenings, or a rotating Saturday or Sunday if that works - we work with you and your schedule to ensure a good work life balance! Salary $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
