The start of your college career may be daunting with all the questions that come about with even the mention of it. What will your major be? Is your major going to get you a job after graduation? What are you going to do with your life? Will you end up working at McDonald’s after earning your degree? It’s scary, I know. And all soon-to-be and even current college students may feel that way at some point of their lives.  Well, don’t worry anymore because we’re here to help!

According to Yahoo! Education, these are the seven safest and most flexible degrees to earn, and most you won’t even have to go to a college campus for!

  1. Computer Science – If you’re interested in learning the in’s and out’s of computer systems, then this may be the major for you. As a computer science major, you’ll spend your time understanding how humans and computers “interact.”
  2. Accounting – If you love to work with numbers and people in the same setting, then this is the career for you. As an accounting major, you’ll learn how to measure a company or organization’s performance and risks.
  3. Business Administration- If your goal is to run a successful business, then this is the major for you! As a business major, you’ll learn all the necessary skills to help or even run your own business. And you could even be your own boss.
  4. IT and Information Science – If you like working more behind the scenes of technology, this may be right up your alley. As an IT major, you could help make the next best innovative discovery.
  5. Graphic Design – If you’re into graphics and pictures, imagine putting them together and boom! That’s your major! As a graphic design major, you can learn the skills to make and create your own websites, graphics, logos and a ton more.
  6. Health Administration – This career will never let you down in the market, everywhere there will be a need for more people in the health field. With these skills, you’ll learn all you need to know to run a health facility, maybe even your own!
  7. Psychology – If you like learning about the complex mind of human beings, then this may be the job for you. As a psych major, you’ll learn all about the way humans all act, think and feel.

At the end of the day, what you decide to major in is totally up to you. Just make sure it’s something you love so you can gain the entire college experience whether that’s in a classroom or behind a computer.
